*** Lowrance Electronics Question ***
I'm Looking To Go With Some Of The New Lowrance Units For My Boat, Maybe The X113c Hd Or X38 On The Driver Area , And Maybe The 520 Or 522 On The Front. But Would Like To Have Them Professionally Installed And Linked Together, Where If I Mark A Spot, Or Notice Something From The Driver Area, It Is Automatically On The Front Unit. Any Suggestions On Who Can Install These Units, Or If Anybody Has Had Any Problems, Just Let Me Know.....thanks
Re: *** Lowrance Electronics Question ***
I have the 28CHD on the console and the 520 on the bow. Both are GPS units and use the Lowrance network which utilizes a single antenna.
We sell alot of these units and have had good results. Of course they are electronic devices and do go haywire sometimes but all electronics seem to fall victim to this.
All in all, I have been fairly satisfied with Lowrance.

What town are you from. I would be willing to do it for the right price or trade. I can show you what/how I've rigged on my personal boats. email me from my user name link if you'd like.

Im From London Ky, And Was Wandering If The Info On The 28hd, Such As Lake Depths, Maps And Contours Show Up On The Front Unit Even Though It Does Not Have A Hard Drive.......
Re: *** Lowrance Electronics Question ***
I am almost certain the unit will not automatically share the data. The front GPS unit that is neworked will be able to obtain sensor data that is on the network, but will not share any mapping info. Say you are using a navionics mapping software that comes on a card. once the card is removed from the drivers unit it will no longer be displayed. Once networked you can get by with only one GPS antennae but you need a map card for each unit.
You can load waypoints onto a spare removable card and then load them on the other unit thru the card. I cannot say if you have to use mapping sofware such as map-create to share your info easily. I think the best forum to get info on what you want to do and what your limitations are going to be is http://bbcboards.zeroforum.com/zeroforum?id=13
