Anybody been down to C-Land in the last week or so? Heading down tonight and will probably put in at the Waitsboro ramp. Fish were biting pretty good a few weeks ago and hoping they are still on. Any help appreciated. Full report when I get back.

Fished upper end today - water with mild stain and temp in the low 80's. NO BITES from 8am to 11am. fished with jigs and small craws on texas rig. rain came in and i got out just in time. very heavy rains today and to continue tonight and tomorrow. be careful if you head out.
Well we put in at waitsboro and fished toward fishing creek. Caught several short fish early and lost two really nice fish. Seems like I just couldn't get a hook to stick. Really didn't know the area so done more searching than anything but had a decent night considering all. Water was at 84 and was stained. Will probably stick with the Conly Bottom area next time considering I am more comfortable there. All fish were caught swimming jigs ( took me a while to figure that out as well. ) They just wouldn't hit it if you crawled it or hopped it but once you got it to moving it they would it it hard. Most fish were caught in 15 to 20 ft of water. Hope this helps.
thanks for the info, will try swimming the jig next time out. hope you did not get too wet, it seemed to rain all night and is just now letting up.
It pretty well rained on us all night but I''m really glad to be getting back on C-Land. It really is a good lake with some quality fish in it. We usually almost always fish laurel but it has been awful tough this year. Nice just to have a change of scenery.

Cumberland????, not my favorite Laurel Lake fisherman. Spend a few more miles and head to Dale. Cliff and I will be heading down to the Hollow for 3 nights starting Sunday night and hopefully a fish or two.
LMBO Elwood you know the saying if the fish ain't there find a new hole to fish
LOL We have been to C-Land twice and the fish seem to be biting pretty good. Besides when your riding you just go where the man driving the boat wants too. LOL Still waiting for you to make a trip to laurel and be sure to let me know when you do and maybe when we can hook up with some of them brownfish one night. My partner can't fish as late as it takes to get on them because of work but I am definatly enjoying C-Land for now. Dale Hollow is in my sites for I am taking a weekend at the end of October and will be fishing her hard. May even hook up with Bob Coan for a day just to help me learn the lake a little. I will definatly be giving you a shout before I go. Good luck when you and cliff go. How is he enjoying that new ride of his?
