Need Help! Cumberland River fishing spot
I haven't been down the C in a couple of years. Where are the good areas to go to? I don't have my boat available. Thought I would try some bank or sandbar fishing. Any good suggestions. I heard the regs have changed down below Burkesville to the TN line. Need to catch something!!! What about around McMillan's Ferry off of HWY 214 east of Tomkinsville and before you get to HWY 61. I'm about a 2 1/2 hour drive away from the river and don't want to waste my son's day just driving around trying to find a good spot. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

I recently spent several days fishing the river and I would suggest fishing as close as possible to the Wolf Creek dam tail water. The water down at the ferry was in the middle 70s and we saw morw drum and carp than trout. We did well on trout and eyes from the dam down to just short of Helms (in a boat). If you're working the bank you should focus on Helms, Winfrey or Rockhouse; stay away from the carp water.

Thanks MMax,
I'll see if I can't plot those areas out and see what happens.
Thanks again and any other suggestions are also welcomed.
