Wading the Cumberland Tailwaters
I plan on going to the Cumberland River area in the near future, but I don't have my boat available. Can anyone tell me where there is a good place to drive to that is near a good wading area for trout. Anywhere from Wolf Creek Dam to the TN line would be okay. I plan on couple or three days so any good suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
Tieguy

mouth of crocus creek at the bridge. hwy 61 north from burkesville approx 2 mi turn right on hwy 704 approx 2 mi turn right on hwy 912 approx 1 1/2 mi to the first bridge you come to. there is plenty of room to park at the bridge an only 50 yards down to the water. very good place to fish

Thanks Slowjerk,
Been there before several years ago, did pretty good, but didn't stay there long enough. The river came up from the generation release and almost got stranded on the sandbar. I'll know better this time. Also, thanks for the directions, couldn't really remember how to get there. The fellows at Strange Bait got me there last time. It's good to know it's a good place to go with all the stuff going on with Wolf Creek Dam. I'll post later on how we did. Any suggestions on the type of bait/lures. Last time they hit on spinner baits/roster tails.
Thanks again for the response.
