Re: Santa Protectors Team Tourney
I don't think it says in there anywhere, so anyone not familiar with Santas Protectors. Every Christmas Indiana firemen and police officers take less fortunate children shopping. The firefighters and police officers are paired with a child and go to Wal-Mart to shop. First the kids must pick out a winter coat and two outfits. Then they are allowed to pick out a couple of toys. Normally we received donations from local buisnesses(sp) but we have had a hard time recently coming up with enough funds. The program almost went under last year but a few firefighters stepped up and got our local group organized in the last minute. They are Jeff Tennell, Danny Marcum, and Nic Weber of the Shelbyville Fire Dept. Jeff and Danny are avid fishermen and came up with this idea to earn a little extra money. I think it is 70% payback and 30% donated towards Santa Protectors. Also, I think it is tax deductible but am not sure. If you have any questions you can ask me on here, or call Jeff and Danny. Their cell numbers are on the form.
