Any word on what waveland has been like this year? All the talk of the fish kill last year and very little talk about any fish this year. Just wondering how that bath tub is fishin.
Thanks,

Thanks,
It's bounced back nicely. Nothing like last year where every boat has a limit, but still quite a few bass to be caught. All have looked real good and healthy. They've treated the weeds a bit this year and that has probably helped some. Been catching them on a little of everything. Tons of shad in the lake right now from a recent hatch has things a little slow though. Found a good Waveland write-up over on the Big Indiana Bass website (www.bigindianabass.com) that might interest you. I'm thinking of heading over there Sunday myself, though might end up at Glenn Flint instead. Haven't decided yet :)
Did ya go today?

Yep. Got out there around 1PM and fished until dinner. Had 2 buddies with me...we took 2 boats. Had 6 keepers between the 3 of us, best one at 3 pounds. Had a couple on deep cranks, 3 on frog around the moss and one on a Pop-R. Missed several blowups and lost a couple also. Also caught about a dozen shorts. Not a great day but OK considering the heat and the sun. They have really whacked the weeds pretty well. Even less than when I was there a couple 3 weeks ago. Did see some chasing of shad by bass but we never could get close enough, quick enough to capitalize. I think a cloudy day would have been better for that type fishing. Also had a nice bluegill and a 7-8 pound channel cat to the boat as bonus. May have to try for some of those big gills next time out. Forgot to get a water temp reading though.
Thanks for the post, what type of frog where you throwing? Spro, SnagProof? Were the grass hits in low light or mid afternoon?
Thanks again for the feedback.
Spro in the middle of the day!
Anyone catch any musky out there yet? I know they've been stocking them for a few years now but wasn't sure how they were doing. Just curious.
