Did anyone else had a good day of fishing last Saturday 8/18? It was my best day so far this year both in number and weight. The bass was still deep but was biting very well. I think the weather change had a lot to do with it or did I just found where they were at for the day?
Didn't fish on the weekend, but fished the kokomo res. after all this rain, and it's like it is a new lake. They were smokin' the old black and blue on very shallow wood. biggest was 19 inches, a real pig for that little reservoir.
When I went that Saturday of the 18th, it didn't go too well for me, I may have only caught one. Now last Saturday the 25th I caught six very shallow on a top water frog in a lot of cover. Granted, I'm in southern Indiana and we've not got much rain at all and our lakes are considerably low (3 ft) right now. Praying for rain before the weekend is up so fishin Monday will be better.
