Re: Just moved here
Ruger ,welcome aboard I to live in Lagrange and fish the Ohio on a regular basis.Your boat should be fine ,is it a V-hull? I fish out of a 14ft v myself and unless the wind is strong from the west I do good. Westport offers some good fishing 18 mile creek, pattons creek, around 18 mile island and several other small creeks in that area you can get back in if you know where to find them.I normally fish below Mcalpine dam. It takes alittle longer to get there but worth the trip. Lots a good guy's on here for information me and Mhall live in Lagrange so keep in touch we can hook up sometime...Chuck Riverrat12

Re: Just moved here
Welcome to the board,, yep your boat will be just fine for the river. Plus your only about 20 miles or so from Guist Creek Lake, it's about 362 acre's of prime bass fishing waters. Plus Taylorsville lake off Hwy 44 in Spencer County.....

Re: Just moved here
Welcome, with a name like that you gotta be a good guy, or at least get your way. I love my Ruger it gets alot of attention w/300gr. Your boat would be fine in the river, Guist & T-ville are great lakes and kinda close to home, but don't over look Ky River.

Re: Just moved here
Welcome to the board.
I'm in Western KY, and even though it is about a four hour drive, don't count out KY and Barkley lakes. Closer to home are also Rough and Nolin.
KY and Barkley can be very dangerous with a small boat if there are winds over 15 mph.
Again, welcome.

Re: Just moved here
Hey thanks for the replies, from what I have seen so far I really like.Thank you for the info also,I'm glad my boat will handle the river because it's so close. As for the srh 454 I love shooting it but it gets a little expensive to shoot full power loads so I shoot 45's alot.If you want to get together and fish sometime I would be grateful. Thanks again

Re: Just moved here
Tie on a rattletrap and hit the mouth's of the creeks along the Ohio for some fast action on spots & whites. Don't forget the saugers too.
