Re: KY River & Elkhorn Creek
It's my guess that you won't see that much of a change in the water from the past few weeks there at the mouth of Elkhorn just yet...maybe a bit...but it'll take a little time for anything that was dumped into the headwaters to get down there. There will be some local runoff from the feeders, but I don't know how much.
No problems launching at Steele Branch that I know of...Might actually do better fishing the river than the mouth of Elkhorn. It's usually largemouth/spot water for me in the mouth.
Good luck.
Re: KY River & Elkhorn Creek
No big effect on any flow right now. Most of rain soaked in, instead of running off...

Re: KY River & Elkhorn Creek
Thanks for the info. I'll be out there about noon until the sun goes down. I'll give an update when I get back.

My son talked me into fishing at Clay's Ferry. It's a lot closer to where I live. I posted a thread on the conditions at Clay's Ferry. It was great, we caught over 30, and it's awesome to have your son talk you into staying out longer because they are having so much fun!:)
