personally i have been waiting for the stripper bite all year....
I have heard the bass fishing is heating up, a lot of reports that people are catching them in the morning on topwaters. a few weeks ago it was double buzz baits, now its more of a walker... smallies and spots are mainly being caught this way.
The striper are still in schools and have been jumping lately. Thats exciting fishing. get a long rod with a heavy spoon or topwater and cast into them. the trick is to not get too close cause you will spook them in a hurry. Also hold on to your rod, these fish don't fiddle fart around.
As far as any other fish, i have no idea. If im going to be on that lake im after bass or stripers mainly. good luck.
Bass fishing has really been good. Put in at waitsboro anf fished pittman creek and around the burnside area until a HEAVY fog rolled in. One good keeper large mouth and a few small fish on jigs and spinnerbaits around heavy cover. JUst didn't get to fish our usual spots due to the fog. Scarey lake when that stuff sets in. Be careful as well for seems like we seen several floaters in the lake. If your not watching one could take a motor off on one of those things.
