Re: help for this weekend
Go to Nolin and throw the heck out of either a Shad Rap, Rat-L-Trap, Spinner Bait or if it gets even slower try a jig-n-Trailer of some sort. Rough was more like a Choc, Candy Bar as far as color from what I've heard from the rain last week. The fish at Nolin were biting good as far as numbers were concerned and it should only get better even with the water being pulled.
Re: help for this weekend
137 views and no one knows anything about whether rough or nolin would be better??? A little tight lipped aren't we? ;)
Seriously though, thanks for the help MSG, i appreciate it. Ill post when we get back.
Re: help for this weekend
Fished Nolin last sunday, was really windy. put in at moutardier, pulled a couple fish out of the cove behind the campground including one keeper. Fish seemed active. both myself and my buddy got several hits on buzzbaits, but couldn't hook up to any except for one fish. The keeper was caught on a white jig. Went to the main lake, where my buddy caught five or so shorts on a small spinnerbait, but was really windy and made it hard to fish anywhere thoroughly.
Re: help for this weekend
I fished Nolin Sunday as well, and had a great day. Went yesterday afternoon (wed) put in at wax and the lake was a good 6 feet lower and a couple of degrees cooler. 59 at Wax, 63 where Dog creek enters the main lake. Wax area was muddy and trashy, by the time I got to Dog Creek, there was good color. Did not get a bite on Wednesday. Sunday was a good rat l trap day, chrome with blue back and a jig and craw day.
Re: help for this weekend
thanks for the help boys....think im just gonna head to rough. The way that nolin is being pulled just makes me a little bit nervous. Hopefully some weather will move in and the fishin will be good
