Hi guys,new to the site.I've been fishing t-ville lake the last 3 weeks and having little success(crappie).I was told that there is a barn that is underwater somewhere in this lake.Just wondering if anyone has heard that or knows where it is? Any info on where to fish (crappie) on this lake would be greatly appreciated.Been fishing the chowning lane area.Thanks for any info!
there are all finds of old buildings on the bottom of that lake. some are shown on maps. a good sonar will see them.
you may find some remnants but i saw them before the lake was filled and lots of the old timber windrows and buildings are all but gone when you go over them with a graph.I looked over a few of them about 3 years ago.There are a few of the tree pile that came up to 10 or so feet to the surface in 25 ft of water now they're 15ft or more.
thanks for the info guys.Can someone give me a general area to be looking such as the main lake or up in the creeks? Like I said I've been in the chowning lane area with a little success but not what I'd like.I've been trolling all over that area watching the graph but haven't seen anything like that.Thanks again fella's.

Also ... take into consideration that we didn't have a normal transition from Summer into Fall. In fact, this whole year has been a bit screwy - weatherwise - and the fishing has been affected by that.
Don't know anything about any leftover submerged structures in Taylorsville, but it wouldn't surprise me any.
You might want to try Herrington Lake ... it's closer to you, the Crappie are bigger, there's no size limit on Crappie there, the creel limit is 30, and it's a bigger lake (with more docks to fish around). It's no easier to pattern, than Taylorsville, but it can be more productive (once you get past the learning curve ... LOL!! )

Hey KYPit - here are my experiences, for what they are worth. Keep in mind, I mostly bass fish, but where there are baitfish, there are fish, right?
Dont get caught up fishing all that standing timber on the channel side. Everyone fishes that and there is so much of it, you just pick up the occasional fish here and there.
I fish near the Salt River, at Van Buren and downstream a few miles. So you may not be in the same area. But it is shallow up in that area and there is a flooded roadbed that runs on the opposite side of the timber you can graph in several places. It is not that deep, 5-10 feet or less and just out past the road bed, you can see a slight drop off to 17-22ft. It just looks like a mud flat on that side, and if you get in too close, its very shallow. However, I would bet if you can fish near that roadbed/dropoff and find a few isolated trees along that line, you will be on some fish.

Thanks crappypappy and cajun78 for the info.I've never had much luck on herrington but I know there are some big ones there.A friends Dad catches his limit everytime he goes which is mostly in the spring,and He won't give up any of his "secret" spots...lolI guess if you fish it long enough you are bound to figure it out.Herrington just hasnt been good to me,hell it just might be the fisherman and not the lake...lol Thanks again guys!
