Re: What's Working on Nolin?
Fishing has been tough for me the past couple of trips because of the dropping water. I have caught them mainly on small jigs, shakey head worms (green pumpkin) and some on spinnerbaits (chartruse/white). The best thing for me was to fish slow around wood and whatever submerged or partially submerged brush piles you could find. Last week was tough but things could be different this week. I would try the lures I mentioned and maybe a shallow crankbait in chartruse with black back.
Moutardier is a decent place to launch this time of year. But I do put in at Wax most of the time. I like that end of the lake better but have been trying the midlake areas lately. Hope this helps. Good luck
Re: What's Working on Nolin?
Thanks Toadman! I will be sure to try your advice. Looks like we will be putting in at Wax and driving the lake at our convenience (wherever they are biting). I'm going to try the shaky head but as well going to throw my trusty Texas rig Brush Hog........We'll see. if all else fails, I'm gonna make sure that the boat is still ready for the KY lake small mouth coming up next month.
