Nolin Report

Although the air was nipply, the water temp from Wax to Moutardier was between 50-53 Friday. Fished Newton's black Friday tournament. Caught about 16 bass on jigs, tubes, 4"worms. Pretty much black/blu, dark green/brown or watermellon with fleck, had about eight above 12" but only one above 15". Caught from 1-8 foot deep. Couldn't get a bite on spinnerbait, but others reported they did. In hindsight, I feel we could have caught more on other lures/methods and locations. I heard it took over 9 lbs for first/second. We were late (let time get away from us) and didn't get to weigh-the keeper and the fat 14-1/2" Slot. Wife said I couldn't go Sat, because she was stuck taking care of 2 sick kids....

last sunday was good,had some nice crappie,went to prefish for the fri tourn. i didn't fish,found some real nice bass in less than 2ft of water on jigs.had four over three with the biggest being 5.18.had some smaller fish in the 14 to 16 inch range on spinners.all the fish were on the mainlake,didn't start til 1pm and quit at 4:45.talked with a few when we got there and they said nothing was biting and they were going home,must have been trying to pull our leg.
