Rough Approaching Record level....
Just a note to everyone.... Rough River Lake is approaching it all time record level of 521.6'. As of 6 am today it sat at 515.2'. With more rain expected in the next week or two I'm sure it will surpass the all time record, and possible threaten the spillway crest of 524.0'. If anyone down in that area could post a few pictures it would be awesome. I fish Rough often and would realy like to see it flooded out like this.
I dont think the CoE expected this much rain when they planned for the spillway repairs.
Keep on chuckin'

Some of the henny penny storm team guys are saying maybe 2 more inches of rain tomorrow night, Good Lord will it ever end for at least a week, Geeeeze give us a break. I had over a half inch last night and they said that was just gonna be light showers, I had 6/10th's. It's like a swamp where we live right now.
Re: Rough Approaching Record level....
Is it true that the Corps is going to just let the lake flow over the spillway? Now that would be a sight to see.
Re: Rough Approaching Record level....
I may ride down Sunday, just to check on things, more than likely wont take the boat but may get a wild hair. I will be taking pics and post them if I can get there this weekend. Does anyone know if the ramps are open? If so, is the state ramp floating dock useable?
Re: Rough Approaching Record level....
I beg to differ with you but I live 4 miles from the park and have seen the water over the road and into the tennis courts before and it still has a way to go before that happens!!! THe state ramp is closed.
