Sauger @Kentucky Dam
Hello All,
Just a question about whether the Kentucky Lake tailwater has a good sauger run, and about what time does it peak?
I heard Pickwick tailwater was great, but it is a farther drive from Terre Haute. A work buddy wants to day trip it down to KenDam.
Any thoughts?

Re: Sauger @Kentucky Dam
Day trip from Terra Haute to Ky Lake! Man you are one dedicated fisherman- with a comfortable ride, and lots of coffee, I hope. That must be 7 hours of driving (round trip)!

Re: Sauger @Kentucky Dam
A little help:
Watch Dave Stewart's fishing reports which a updated each Thursday on this site under Fishing Reports, Kentucky or Barkey Lake. Latest report "Sauger: Sauger are being taken near the old river channels in 20-30 ft of water using curly tail jigs tipped with minnows."
Good Fishing,
Gary

Re: Sauger @Kentucky Dam
Terre Haute to KY Lake is about 5 hours. Straight down to Evansville and then on to the lake.

Re: Sauger @Kentucky Dam
Head over to Louisville, KY and swing onto the Waterson and then swing over to Patoka Lake instead.
Ask your NASA friends for the waypoints. :)
