In-Fisherman TV??
I have the Outdoor Channel (ie the canned hunt channel), and my favorite fishing show is In-Fisherman. This morning, as I was watching it before church, I realized that I haven't seen a new segment for that show in at least a year...maybe longer.
Does anyone know if they are still filming In-Fisherman shows, or is the Outdoor Channel just going to continue to show re-runs?
I don't have a ton of channels on my TV - not really a big fan of television other than sports - but there really are almost no fishing shows anymore. The ESPN coverage on the Saturday mornings is more about the pro-fishermen than the fishing.

Re: In-Fisherman TV??
ESPN has turned the Bassmasters into a complete circus!Kinda reminds me what happened to Nascar, even though I don't watch that very much. I used to watch in-fisherman ( had satalite) don't get it local unless it's on fox sports ohio. I really liked it when James Linder was on, he really knew his stuff( or atleast fooled me into thinking he did!). I have some friends up in MN, and I'll check with them to see if something is up.

Re: In-Fisherman TV??
They still do the infisherman shows. I think it probably my personal favorite too. They show all the new shows starting in Jan. or Feb. and then after they have shown their whole season then it is reruns for the rest of the year. So i guess the new season is just around the corner. This is the same for shows like ultimate match fishing too.

Thanks. I think I saw Angling Edge back when Dish carried the MOR channel, but they dropped it. I don't get any of the Fox Sports channels.
The Outdoor Channel should change it's name to the Hunting Channel. If you look at their lineup, they really only have 2-3 true fishing shows, and 2 of them are worthless - saltwater, western sport fishing.
They have about 10 to 1 Hunting shows. Is hunting really that much more popular than fishing? And they're really mostly killing shows as opposed to hunting. Is it really that much of an accomplishment to go to a ranch that almost raises the deer like livestock and shoot one?

Re: In-Fisherman TV??
Linder sold In-Fisherman a few years ago. Al Linder has a new show "Fishing Edge" which had been on Fox Sports last year. Haven't seen it in 2007. Probably on Versa (?? spelling). My friend in Dallas just switched cable companies from Comcast to Verizon and has a 24/7 fishing network something like "Fishing The World" or "World of Fishing".
By the way, why do we only have one cable company in Louisville, KY? In Dallas they have at least 3, Comcast, Verizon and AT&T.

Re: In-Fisherman TV??
OK . Linders did sell the rights to in fiserman. My guy didn't know the name of their new show but they are still going. From what he said Doug Stange and those other guys are not going with them but he wasn't 100% sure on that. Hey Lee, same thing in newspapers, Why do we only have the communist journal? The editorial board at the CJ must have been employed by mother Russia back in the good ole days.

Because Insight has a contract with the city that basically grants them a monopoly.
