Striper Report Lake Cumberland Mon.Dec,31

Put in @ Conley Bottom at sunrise. Went to the head of White Oak creek. Small bait everywhere with a few stripers chasing them. Pulled boards half way out of White Oak. Several pulldowns but no fish. Went out to the main lake to see if I could mark any fish there. Tried the channel across from White Oak-nada. Same results on the flat next to the creek. Went looking for some birds. Found lots of birds on the flat to the right of Conley Bottom. BOOM! Tons of striper marked from 8ft. to 45ft. Bait everywhere! First striper at 1:15pm. Fished until 5:30pm. Total of 16 stripers caught. Don't worry guys, I only kept my limit-2-. Fished with small to medium shiners on boards and down lines. Lots of jumps!! No fish caught in the jumps but when I would get close to a jump 2 or 3 rods would go down and I was fishing by myself. What a way to end the year. Can't wait for 2008!!

I get my shiners at the Probass on Hw90 on the way to Conley Bottom. Great bunch of guys and they have all the tackle you could need for stripers.
