Re: lake barkley info
Well for starters your staying at one of the finest state park resorts in America. As far as the fishing goes your at the mercy of the weather, late March can be fantastic for crappie right where your at.Go to the fishing reports section of this site closer to the time of your trip and you'll get plenty of useful information.I have two favorite places to eat when I go to the LBL.Patti's in Grand Rivers for the HUGE pork chop and Starnes BBQ in Paducah.Good luck, you'll have a great trip.

Re: lake barkley info
The state park at barkley is awesome. The ramp there is one of the best in this area. Everything in terms of fishing is starting to get hot then, especially nearing the end of the month (crappie and largemouth). I would definitely get a good map and pay attention to the channel markers. Barkley looks wide open when you are on the water, but outside of the channels the depths can come up quick to sometimes just several inches deep. There are several boat accidents every year involving boats running WOT outside the channels.
As far attractions/restaurants darealbigcatman was right on with Patti's - get the big pork chop. Or you will also be close to Cadiz - you can go to Ferrel's (it doesn't look like much - a little diner) and get one, or four, of the best cheeseburgers.

Re: lake barkley info
The state resort park there has a full service marina and as mentioned before a good ramp. You should come prepared for both mild and cold weather that time of year. Plenty of good fishing there in Little River where the park is located for both Crappie and Bass...whether or not the fish cooperate during your stay is pretty much dependent on the weather.
