I read somewhere where you can use clear coat on your boat to give it that new shine again. What's the pro's or con's to doing so?
Thanks

go to bass boat central and look in the forums,i don't exactly know which one but it is about a ranger boat restoration.the guy doing it is in texas,i talked to him about this on my stratos and he said to do it to hold up re gel is the only best way to go.If you go on there and gander around ask some questions he always answers.
only clear coat as a last resort if it can't be fixed by buffing. if your boat is metal flake and isn't too bad, you can buff out the haze with compound. if it's gel, you can fix pretty bad stuff the same way.
This stuff works great, makes it look like a new boat and lasts a full season. After the initial application, it doesn't take much to make it look new again. It's so easy, just wipe it on, no buffing. I still use this on my boat.
