All Star rods
Practicing saturday for the bfl i set the hook on a 4.7lb smallie and my rod broke on the hookset,i did get the fish in so i wasnt that pissed,lol.But i was just wondering if i sent the rod back to all star would they replace it?Its an AllStar graphite series rod and its not over 3 years old.There site says they have a 3 year warranty on there rods so i was just wondering

I would call them and see. Just what I have heard from other guys, is that since All-Star was bought out by Shakespear a couple of years ago, their customer service isn't what it once was. Maybe it has improved though.
The real question is where were you catching smallies that would break your rod???

Well when we pulled in on the spot i hooked into one and got about 3 reel cranks on him and then he pulled off.I know that fish would have went 6lbs,then about 100yrds down the bank,Thump,hookset and broke rod but still got him to the boat.The guy i practiced with friday took his coangler there saturday because he didnt have a fish and on the 3rd cast in the exact same spot,he caught a 4.13
