Brashears Creek
Does anyone know how to access Brashears Creek or know of any other creeks to walk and bank fish. I'm Looking for crappie and I usually stick to lakes but would like to branch out and try creeks. I live in Louisville and was hoping to find somewhere within an hours drive. Thanks.

Re: Brashears Creek
Brashears Creek flows through a lot of private property. There's some public access around Taylorsville. Don't know if you'll have very much luck fishing for crappie in the local creeks. You'll have better luck targeting smallmouth, goggle eyes, bluegill, and catfish. Unless someone knows something that I don't and that's entirely possible. Good luck.

You said most if not all the info about this creek. You can access it from the walking lane just off the Baseball fields they built not far from the Spencer County High School across HWY 44 on the left. Also there is another new access point just off HWY 155, or it's Taylorsville Road south, close to the Hatter Gas Station.
