Going crappie fishing Mar 30-Apr 6 and can't decide between the 2 lakes. I figured it'll be too late to go to Weiss end of Mar and should be good time at Reelfoot. Anyone offer any advice?

Took a early April trip to reelfoot a few years ago. The weather was extremely warm and I have never seen any more cottonmouths in my life and I am from south Georgia originally. I kept looking over my shoulder rather than concentrate on fishing. Good luck.
I love reelfoot. Snakes can get bad if the weather gets warm but you leave them alone and they leave you alone. Most stay in the duck blinds and stay out of the cyprus in the middle of the lake where the fish are.
I have stayed at cyprus point many times and they have a great place no matter what your needs are camping/hotel/house. We became friends with a guide down there that gave us some great fishing advice for the lake. Unfortuantly he passed away a few years ago. But I still have all the maps he drew on. If you want some advice I am more than willing to help out.
check out cypruspointresort.com if you call ask for Tony he is the owner and takes care of his customers.
Good luck!
