Winter Aging....
This winter has taken it's toll on me mentally. We are so slow at work, I've got guys layed off and it seems it's been freezing cold and or raining or snowing for about the last 5 months or so. I sooooo need to go fishing and forget about how bad things seem right now. Sorry for wining but man will it ever warm up and something good start to happen. I need to quit looking at the paper, news and this dang internet, I'm in a funk. I'm getting my boat in the shop next week to see what's up with it running bad, and I'm going somewhere even if it's wrong. Can somebody loan me some money for this overprised GAS, LOL.

Re: Winter Aging....
I'm with you Mark...these Winters take their toll on this old middle aged Florida boy:) !
I'm making reservations this weekend for a trip down there for a week and even though the weather should be good here in April (better there)I'm getting warm thinking about getting out of here.

Well said, I like to think I fish 12 months a year, 24/7.....but sometimes, mother nature says NO. Like launching or retriving a boat on a SNOW BLANKED RAMP...or 30 + WINDS.
So on my Down Days, Tackel boxes have been sorted out, new line put on all the reels and wife says it's ok to go (Hey any't she Great)...so come on spring!!!!
Good Fishing to All,
Gary

Re: Winter Aging....
You would have thought I have been locked up in a cabin in Alaska for the past 5 months. Thats how long it's been since I been fishin...Wife say's I'm worse than a woman during her time of the month, when it comes to being locked up and not fishin...... Next weekend can't come to soon for me I tell ya.....Dale Hollow bound for the first time in my life......:D

Re: Winter Aging....
I bought my first-ever baitcaster a couple weeks ago, and between weather and work, I've cast it maybe a dozen times, in my back yard, with a 1/4 oz. practice plug. I'm getting the hang of it, but there are too many trees for me to cast far. My neighbors are going to think I'm crazy, but I swear today or tomorrow I'm going to put on a second plug and take it out front in the street and see how far I can cast a half ounce without bird's-nesting it :D

Re: Winter Aging....
congrats on the new reel but you have to get used to calling it a professional overrun, birdsnest doesn't sound as good
