Fishing with the kids, 3/20-3/23
Hi everyone, I'm brand new to this forum. My young kids are on spring break next week, and I'd like to plan on a fishing/camping trip for them. My kids are 4 & 8...so I'm talking real simple, pan fishing from the shore, but some place they will get some bites. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm in N. Ky, and would like to find a place within a 2 hour drive with an open camp ground preferrably.
Thanks in advance.

There is a Campground in between Sparta and Carrollton "Eagle Valley".
This is a really nice place to take kids to fish. all the pan fish you can handle atleast when the water is warm. plenty of bass and and some really big bass at that. If you wanted to take a small boat you can put a boat in one of the four lakes. I actually prefer the lake right behind the pavillion, also if you have a golf cart be sure to take it. everyone uses them down there and just throw your rods and kids on the cart and go fishing and hang a big one.

Also if you do decide to go to this campground could you check on site 51 or 54 back behind the shower house and let me know if you see a camper sitting there smashed to smitherines? A Tree fell on my camper two day after Christmas and i need to get down there to scrap it out but started fishing tournaments again and I have one this weekend so I guess i will have to go down the weekend of 22-23.
Not looking forward to that especially when i can be fishing. LOL:(

Thanks for the tip. I've actually been there before, and had a good time. I think that's where I will go...and I'll let you know about the camper. Bummer about that!
