If anyone is going out on Ky lake tomorrow please be careful. The local weather is calling for a 15mph NE wind with Gust from 24-30 mph. Those kind of winds will turn the lake upside down in a hurry....
Good Luck everyone and Be careful

I won't be out there...no way...its gonna get nasty.
Me either Dave. I don't care anything for it when it gets like that
This lake is not a pleasant place to be with just about any wind but especially any out of the North or South. Done some REALLY stupid things on this lake myself, like crossing from Big Bear to the LBL side of Ky in Winter at Winter Pool and 43 degree water with 3-4 foot rollers. Cliff and I are both college graduates fairly educated and this was the STUPIDEST thing we ever done together. I did catch one really nice MONSTER 12" Ky Bass on a jerkbait that made the journey all worth it. Mr. Dave Stewart really let me have it when I told him and he said it only takes 3 waves and he will be sending out the search party to retrieve our bodies. Wave one turns you side ways, Wave two fills your boat up and Wave three turns you over then it is goodbye to elnut and chunknwind forever. I will never do this again.

Dave is right about the 3 waves!!! Thats for sure!!! That old lake can bite you hard if you dont pay attention to the weather. They have a BFL tourney in the morning. I sure feel sorry for those guys. If its too windy to fly a kite then I have no bussiness on the big KY
Looks like the BFL saturday will be a fun one. I am thankful I have chosen not to fish the big T's this year (actually my wife really helped make that decision!!!LOL). Hope all you BFL'ers are safe, and use some caution and common sense. This lake can get nasty quick and I avoid the lakes with anything much over 12 to 15MPH. That is about my comfort cut-off. I have braved higher winds, but it was no fun, once you get in the 20's and 30's it goes from being more than an annoyance or incovenience to dangerous.
