Willisburg lake off the parkway

Any body fish this lake. is it any count . Is there a hp rating? thanks.

There is not a HP limit--The fishing is very good-some big old bass in that lake too-big carp-and some monster cats-Now those bass run in schools and when you find them watch out you will ware your arms down fast-I have been lucky an found them on three diff. trips-gl to you :)

Thanks I ll head there sunday afternoon. Its the only place around that does not look bad.

We went to Willisburg Sunday afternoon also. Water was muddy so we tried to stay with light color baits. We boated one fish but it was a nice 4 lb. 14 ounce largemouth caught on a soft jerk bait on a rock bank. We were the only boat out of everyone I asked to catch anything. Did you make it down Sunday, Rugby?

We actually pulled in there on our way to Green River...(Blue Tracker, behind a Silver F150)...looked around a bit, thought about launching there and fishing Willisburg instead, but ended up heading on.

So how did you do at Green??

Ive fished Willisburg alot as my granddad grew up there (Springfield). There are some big bass in the lake. But its on or off, like he said, they run in schools. Best bet as a locator is a white grub on 1/8th with light line. Once you find them, slow down.

Ive done better there in the early fall than any other time.
