I heard that program helps teach kids to fish, do they help Adults learn how to catch bass too? :) Just looking for some easy way to learn what one feels like on the end of my line :))
I am still waiting to hear why after Ryan and I jumped thru our shorts to go out and get your kids fishing equipment so you could take them fishing, why you never had the time to meet Ryan to get the equipment we bought for your kids...especially since it seems you have time to go out and fish tournaments and now come on here wanting help in securing bass fishing equipment. By the way, Ryan is donating the rods and reels we bought for your kids to Fishing For Kids...maybe some of those kids will get to use it. If I sound a little ticked you can bet I am....and don't try playing the military card on me....been there and did it a longer than you.
cra97.... I am curious as to what your story is now. Last I read you were jobless, moneyless and needing rods and reels for your kids. I think an explanation to the board members is due as to why you didn't pick up the rods and reels that these members graciously purchased for your children.
On behalf of Fishing For Kids I want to thank Dave and Ryan for there donation and I promise we will get them in some kids hands and fishing as soon as possiable.

Cra97,
I don't know what type of angle your ( I could be wrong )trying to play on the members of this fine excellent Fishin info web site. But somehow my radar has gone off as to something isn't right about all your letting on about your joblessness, broke and overall self pity being passed on through this board and it's members.
It's people like you who give all the good people like Dave Stewart and all the others who were involved in getting the rods and reels for your kids. Then you don't even go and pick them up so you can take your kids fishing. Giving organizations like the Fishin 4 Kids Program and other Groups asking for legitimate help in giving to those less fortunate and actually need rods and reels and other items to help them get started in fishing.
So I feel until you come clean and actually give a full detailed explanation as to why you didn't go get the rods and reels. You should just disappear from this outstanding web site.
If those out there that feel I've stepped over the line in saying what I have said feel different. Then maybe you can help out and reword my post a little different or add to it.
Just another note, I'm also a retired Army Veteran and so far, I feel that you have given the Military folks a bad slap to the face. By playing out on the Veteran status as a way to also help your scheme to work.
Still waiting for an answer
I think his silence is your answer Dave. We all got taken for a ride. I knew I should have given the cash to Eddie (fishin for kids) instead of Cra97. I am a sucker to help kids get out on the water and fish. It really plays on my heart strings and this is a sad situation if we all we taken advantage of. I read through each of the post on the "VET Lost job post" and there were a ton of guys willing to step up and help. And as you can see now his recent post are really about what he wanted in the first place. Because over the last couple of weeks it has been about CRA97(ROB) fishing and not his kids.

Sad but, what comes around goes around. It will eventually catch up with him. I just hope I'm there to see it. Ryan.
Ryan,
If you donate the rods to Eddie he will put them to good use. Which is what should happen. I have tried over the years to help others out and things like this have happened. I feel if the good Lord blesses me I am responsible to bless others and not worry because he will take care of me. And in turn He will take care of others. You just have to watch out if you know what I mean.
Thanks

Regardless of how this turns out - I think the generosity of the members of site is outstanding. Kindness is a true indication of character. I would hate to think that something like this would discourage any of you from continuing to help those in need. However, I do think I have learned that is better to donate to reliable organizations like "fishing for Kids" and refer those in need to seek assistance from the organizations. Ryan summed it up best, "what comes around goes around," I think this is a two way street - don't think the good deeds go un-noticed.
I still think the members on here that offered assistance and extended their generosity to help someone they did not know are owed an explanation and/or an apology from CRA97.......You were online all morning, and were never short of words in the past, why now?
