Taylorsville...Lake is right and fish are bitting
Had a good time tuesday night fishing the tournament it was cold but the fish were really eating, I think nearly everyone had fish . I think it took nearly 13 pounds to win. Does anyone know when the friday night three fish tournaments start?....Thanks
Re: Taylorsville...Lake is right and fish are bitting
Your not kidding they are biting! Had 6 over 4lbs yesterday including 1 -5 1/2# , another almost 5# lost 2 more over 5#. we caught a total of 7 fish, best 5 going around 23-24lbs. Caught 2 today over 5lbs, lost another that was atleast 4#, broke off another one that was very nice, guess around 3# or so. Wind really hurt the area I had been fishing last 2 days and they never came back up when the wind started to howl!
Re: Taylorsville...Lake is right and fish are bitting
I'm going to be up front. I like fishing the tournaments at taylorsville. When I hear all this talk, well I was at the weigh in so its not talk, that the fish are biting it freaks me out a little. I have fished the lake probable six times in the last week and a half and managed only 1 short fish. I'm pretty much feel like giving up on the tournaments since it seems like a waste of time for me right now. But I would still like to catch a fish every now and then. Actually just got off the water and guess what? Not a friggen bite. What gives. I usually don't like asking for help on fishing but I'm at a lost here guys.

That's Taylorsville for you!
You may have seen only the successful fisherman, how many others
got little or nothing that day?
I know I've fished that lake all day and not got a bite then find one place
and "clean up", it's like that.
Just being in the right place at the right time.
Seems there's always someone that caught fish when I didn't.
Often, one end of the lake can be totally different than the other.
It's a challenging lake, that's for sure.:)

Due to this post you will now have 7.5 million boats on that mudhole as early as tomorrow, lol.
Re: Taylorsville...Lake is right and fish are bitting
Yeah well don't forget I fished six days and caught 1 fish. So it is what it is.

I won't lie in that most of time the bites are few and far between. Yesterday, I had 7 bites total. Weds. they bit all day. I also will tell you that I don't fish the so called usual way. I don't own a buzzbait, I have 1 spinnerbait that has only been used 1 time (in Canada in 06) where someone will throw a crankbait, I throw a senko, a spinnerbait, a fluke, things like that. I fish so slow you would die fishing with me. At T-ville, slow down. The truth also? I used a jig all day, from 7 in the morning till I left. No crankbaits, spinners, rattletraps, nothing fast at all. I fish banks that everyone passes by, I had 1 boat near me all dayand they had 1 small one. I guess to summerize what I'm saying is go against the rule book, throw it away at Taylorsville and see what happens. In 2 years I've had on atleast 8 fish over 5# fishing this way but I never fish there after April until november swings back. Send me a PM and we'll talk more. I don't know alot but I'll try to help people where I can.
