Bald Eagle at Green River Lake
I was fishing Green River Lake today and a bald eagle flew overhead and perched in a tree close by. I wasn't for sure it was an eagle until I came to rest in the tree. Saw it on the main lake just past butler creek on my way towards Holmes Bend.
Anyone else seen any on Green. First one I have seen there.
Re: Bald Eagle at Green River Lake
i've saw bald eagles and another big bird also. i think they're osprey's, about the same size as a bald eagle.(black with white under belly) fishing last week when one caught a fish right behind the boat.
Re: Bald Eagle at Green River Lake
I have seen them there a few times. I just stand there and watch them in awe. It sure is a peaceful sight to see. Seeing Nature and the wildlife in its natural state is part of the reason why I love fishing so much. I'm sure that we as fishermen, have seen things, that people who don't fish can't imagine.

I have seen them there numerous times. I also saw a couple loons earlier this year on Green. Very surprised to see them.

I've now seen eagles at Ky lake and Cumberland this year. And by the way those crazy Loons are all over Cumberland, tons of them and I do like that sound they make.
