i have heard it has some nice crappie in there but i have never caught a keeper. we caught a lot of them on bandit 200 series crankbaits but all of them were short. the guy who used too run the dock said the mouth of the last cove is where a lot of good crappie were caught he may still run the dock as i have not been all year. good luck and let us know how you do.
I fish at willisburg some because its only 5 minutes from my home you can usually find several small crappie there but most of the time i only wind up with about 4 slabs over all not too good of odds
Went down this morning and man was it a tough day. I guess it's spawning time for the carp. I'm talking big carp crashing the banks all day long, from main lake to the backs of creeks. They have the water mudded up and not much else is happening. Water temp 68.5 to 69.5 just two 8in bass and three bluegill . Zero on the crappie tried deep trees, shallow trees points you name it. Just another slow day on the burg. Also I bet I counted at least 50 boats and campers going towards Green while I fished in sight of the dam. Should be a nice weekend enjoy. :)
