Mon / Tue June 2&3 Cumberland Back Seat
Possibly I will be heading to Cumberland Monday June 2nd to night fish, stay in a local cottage that I have stayed in before on Tuesday then night fish Tuesday night before heading back Wednesday morning. I say possibly for I may be returning to work on that day but won't know for sure until sometime this week. If I am not working I will be going and looking to see if anyone wants to take the backseat and other bed in the cottage. Plan on putting in at the Dam and fishing for Walleye and Striper mainly but will also try for Smallies if the other 2 species don't play fair. Send me a pm if interested.

Man.............
I'd LOVE to........but I should be in QUETICO on Saturday, and hopefully starting a STRING of 100+ smallie days..........BASSMAN30 is already there.
I REALLY wish I could get in touch with him.....it is killing me. BUT from all the reports I've read from up there already, they are having a tough time.........maybe some bigger fish, but probably not the numbers........
CANNOT wait.
Later,
Geo

On behalf of MYSELF and anyone else that loves to catch fish in general and especially SMALLMOUTH, I HATE YOU GEORGE I HATE YOU MARK AND I HATE ANYONE ELSE THAT IS IN YOUR GROUP CURRENTLY IN CANADA OR HEADING TO CANADA FOR ALL THAT ACTION. May all of your fingers and hands look like minced meat by Day 2, all of your rods and reels are broke by Day 3 and your Canoe sinks by Day 4, Signed Your loving fellow Smallie lover, Elnutsmalljaws

We will have to figure out a way to get you up there................Lots of ways, and there are areas just outside, the park where they supply Lowe boats with 25hp motors.......
I have some ideas of those, and actually, I have a group going to a place like that in 2 weeks...........when I get a report, maybe you and I can talk and maybe we can try to put something together with you, me, mark, and 1 other......THAT would be awesome.
This next trip of mine........next week will be a little different, as I'm taking my daughter again, and taking a GREENHORN........someone who is not GREAT at fishing, has only been camping a couple times, and is not GREAT in a canoe..........but hell......I'm up for the challenge........
The greenhorn part doesn't bother me too much, but 2 in a 18.5 ft canoe does. Not too much room for error with hooks flying around, AND 1 more person to FLIP the boat......
AND the 100+ fishing days up there are NO JOKE...........checkout my site

There are LOTS of trips documented where we caught 400-500 smallies for the week, with 100+ days........I think the absolute best I've done so far was back to back to back 70+ fish days, but I know BassMan30, and his partner have done back to back to back to back 100 fish days.........
AGAIN..........I CANNOT WAIT........
Now, let me get back to putting my thumbs in the garbage disposal to toughen them up :) :).

Geo

Mark and Aaron told me some stories when we went to Dale a couple of months ago. Talked about taping up their thumbs the first day to just get prepared, took clickers one day to keep actual count, and the countless of stories of the 200+ fish days. I was jealous. Not much on roughing it for me with tent and canoe. Fatboy like myself needs my creature comforts, ie bed, shower and boat. Love to go one year with you fellas. Elnut

Just got back from there Elwood or I would go with you. The Holiday was with my wife at my in-laws place, but I got to do a little fishing. The stripes are beginning to slow down some and the walleye are still pretty strong. Bass in the VERY early daylight hours is decent but also starting to wane a bit. Saturday night APB and I had one 12lb stripe and three walleye all nice. One other good walleye lost and two short stripers. Also had a 4lb 6oz largehead at daylight and a decent brown bass and a few dinks. Good luck and be careful out there and catch a bunch.
