Going to Dale Hollow
Need some tips for smallies, shellcrackers, bluegill, walleye, catfish, musky, trout and any other gamefish you can think of. I'm going for the smallies, but wouldn't be upset to get in on some other species. I've never been on this lake. We will be staying near where the Obey river comes in.

Re: Going to Dale Hollow
There's no stripers in Dale Mean Morone!!!!!! LOL I've only been down there three times. We fished out of Holly Creek. 3/4 oz. spinnerbaits at night was the only way we could catch fish. I did catch my biggest walleye ever down there fishing on a spinnerbait.
Good luck,
Yaz

Re: Going to Dale Hollow
Yaz, I know there aren't any striped fish in that lake, but we are staying for free so can't pass it up. Of course we will be throwing smack at them. If I cant catch any stripers, smallies are the next best thing. Love those brown fish. I haven't been to Cherokee since the big die off. How are things looking there now Yaz?

Re: Going to Dale Hollow
Mean, No stripers, but Dale has some of the largest white bass in any lake. Since your staying at Obey, go early every morning on the flat in front of the Obey campground. There have been some good schools of stripe coming up every morning. I caught several last Saturday, some approaching 3 pounds.
Good Luck
