Trim problem!!!!
A buddy of mine is @ KY lake and when his 2002 Evenrude 225 Ficht Ram is trimmed up it slowly goes down, he has noticed some leakage. Can this be repaired or does it need to be replaced? He is worried about when running the moter will not hold in the up position and kick up. I'll be driving down there tomorrow. Could I pick up a new part or should I bring my boat, with the gas prices would it be about the same? Also if he took it to a dealer does anyone know what the cost would be? He is located by the 68/80 bridge. Thanks to everyone on this sight and you Dave to help keep it clean.

Re: Trim problem!!!!
I would tell him to call Donnely's dockside service. Bill Donnely can help him out, and he won't charge and arm and a leg like some of the places around here. He has seen my boat a couple of times and has done great work. He is located on 68, in between big bear and aurora. I just talked to him, and he said it shouldn't be a problem to fix. Give him a call in the morning. (270) 354-6283.

Re: Trim problem!!!!
One thing to consider is that without the trim on the motor, when you trailer it you should tie the motor toter to the trailer. Without the trim force holding the toter on, it will bounce off and let the motor fall and drag.
