Cumberland river
My father and I fish the cumberland river at burkesville alot and we went down there to the river and it was up and the ramp was closed off an month or so ago. So we went to the lake and did ok only 9 little bass. Is there a way to find out the river level before we leave to spent $100 in gas. Thanks

Re: Cumberland river
Call 800-238-2264 and walk through the touchtone menu. It's pretty accurate and will give you water releases a day in advance. Wolf Ck is dam #34. (if you don't want to listen to the list)

Re: Cumberland river
Asof yesterday the river was still stained, but if we dont get any more down pours it should be relativly clear. the water level is almost at last years low point, sosome care should be taken when heading past goose creek up stream, or below the bridge on 61. I think that by thursday it will be a go for me.

Re: Cumberland river
You can go to TVA.com and look under resevior scroll down to Wolf Creek and they'll let you know how many generators are running. When they are letting out 20,000 + cfs for long periods of time then the water will be pretty high down stream. If they are shutting down during the day you should be fine. Way down in Burksville you should probably call Strange Bait for a report.
