One Sad Puppy
The day started out fairly good yesterday at CC. The first couple of fish in the 3 1/2 pound range and one 4.6 plus a few a little smaller.
About 1:00 picked up a jig and made a cast to a deep drop off. THUMP set the hook and I knew this was a good one. Fish came to the top, my eyes got big and I had her about five feet from the boat. This fish was in the 8 to 9 pound range. As soon as I said please stay on the jig came out of her mouth and I watched my trophy swim away. Needles to say, my nerves where shot the rest of the day.

Re: One Sad Puppy
Going somewhere to fish this friday night and have never fished CC. I live in Corbin so its about an hour from home. Do you ever night fish there and how is the crowd on such a small lake? I would like to try it.
Thanks,

I have only fished it once at night but a lot of people do. If you have never been there before I would learn the lake during the day. There is a lot of standing and submerged timber.

I would rather not see it at all , and tell myself it was a catfish. Ouch that hurts.
