Brookville Stripers?
Going to be at Brookville in a couple weeks and trying to read up on current fishing reports. I see where Tag says stripers on the south end 25+ feet. I didn't think Brookville stocked striper anymore and haven't for a while?
If they are there I'll fish for them. Does the lake have a gizzard shad population and is it illegal to bring them to the lake?
Not opposed to fishing for anything that's biting really so if something else if red-hot and the stripers are not I'd appreciate the tip.
thanks in advance.

Re: Brookville Stripers?
I have been trying to get info myself on them. I fished 3 times there exclusively for them this year with live shad, pulled crankbaits and used downriggers to no avail. I contacted Tag and one other guide but got no response as to the current population and techniques for them. Finally last time I was there a guy at the ramp told me they had a pretty good die off 3 years ago in the early fall. I also talked to one of the park managers who indicated there was a die off of the larger fish late last summer due to the drought and the typical summer squeeze these fish face. BUT, he also told me last week that he knew of somebody that had caught a couple recently.
So...my opinion, and its not worth much since this lake is new to me, is that there is not much of a population. The three times I was there were weekends and I only saw one other boat that appeared to be targeting stripers (Tag). I did mark some big fish on the sonar near the channel but who knows what they were.
If anybody knows something about them, I would love a heads up. I have never had such a hard time getting info on a lake. Thanks in advance to anybody who can help.

Re: Brookville Stripers?
Was there Fri and sat fishing and the white bass are running around chasing the shad. Went trolling for eyes with uncle sat morn and we had 2 small stripers mixed in with our largemouth, eyes, and white bass.

Thanks. What do you like to troll on this lake?
