Buzzbait wire form question
I have been given the stuff to make some buzzbaits from scratch but I need the wire forms. I orderer the largest in Janns Net but when I recieved them they are not wide enough to acomidate the large blades I have. Can I order some that are wider or will I have to bend them myself out of the straight piece of wire?
Re: Buzzbait wire form question
What do you mean by they are not wide enough?
Re: Buzzbait wire form question
From the shank where the hook goes to the shank where the blades go. The gap in between there is only about 3/4" of an inch and I need some that are about 1 1/4" wide. Als I would like to have some that are longer. The ones I have are only about 2 1/2" long. I would like some about 4" long. Any help would be great. Thanks
Re: Buzzbait wire form question
I checked mine and they are the same demotions as yours. Try P&J tackle at 1-865-376-5050 and see what he has. Paul is pretty knowledgeable and will help you in any way that he can. If that is the only size that they make you may have to get a Blue Bender and bend your own.

have you tried www.lurecraft.com ?
Re: Buzzbait wire form question
I use the large .040 regular spinnerbait wire then bend myself. Use the same wire for both lures. Been doing it for 20 years.
Re: Buzzbait wire form question
You can either make your own or order some extended wire forms. If you want to make your own you will either need to make or buy a bender. I make my own custom forms if I need something special, but try to use standard forms when I can. But like I have always said, THE BIGGER THE BLADE THE BETTER OFF YOU ARE!!!!
