Message to 2 Males in a Boat
I refer to you as males because the word "men" is reserved for special people to whom you cannot begin to measure up.
You drove your boat close to mine this morning, just as dawn began to break on Cherokee Lake, and stopped close enough for me to hear one of you say to the other, "That's a girl." After what sounded like a couple of words spoken by the driver, the next thing I heard was, "It may take too long for us to get her down here."
You were wrong, I am NOT a girl; I am a woman, ALL WOMAN! I've never been more disappointed in my life than I was when you started the engine, turned and drove your boat away from mine. I wanted so much for those two "hot bodies" to come up on my boat, at least for a second.
I was holding in my hand a fully loaded and cocked, .357 magnum, Smith & Wesson handgun, and had every intention of using it. "Fear" is not my middle name, and I hold an impressive number of marksmanship awards to prove it.
My husband was standing with our dog, about 50 feet back on the dock of the marina, and knew that if you tried to touch me, your brains would instantly turn into carp food.
When you come for a fight with me, you had better bring something other than a lightweight fishing rod. Today was your lucky day.
Signed,
Mrs. Bassin_Bug

Awesome! That would be tragic and poetic. Who get's up early to go fishing and talk rape smack across the cove? I'm not sure male, low life, etc. would be strong enough. Probably just young and funny. Like making jokes about homeless, unemployed or families who are starving. Absolutely hilarious.
Aside from the idiots this time of year, Cherokee is a sweet lake...you are very fortunate.

I didn't find anything about the incident to be funny. They appeared to be around middle-age and were not talking ACROSS the cove; they were stopped within about 20 feet of my boat and were NOT looking for fish. The one standing up was a "fatace" and I didn't see the full size of the other because he was sitting down. They were dumb enough to think I couldn't hear what they were saying.
I have been fishing Cherokee Lake for about ten years and this will not change my fishing habits.
Re: Message to 2 Males in a Boat
Sorry your day had to start out like that. But, glade it all worked out fine. Hope you caught some fish.
Re: Message to 2 Males in a Boat
Wish you could have gotten their boat number and reported the incident to the proper authorities..... The Earth don't need gene pool spreaders like that on this planet.... Glad you and yours were not harmed, other than hearing the awful words coming out of the slime balls mouths.....

Bad situation....I'm glad nothing happened. It sounds from your post that you're not reading into all my sarcasm. Maybe you just scanned my post without getting the meaning. I reinforced it with several sentences....hmmm. Sorry that your upset and I 2 wonder why you didn't try to get the number off their boat?
Hopefully, you consider this matter not worth another second of your time.

I went back and read your message again; sorry I failed to get your meaning the first time. The reason I didn't get the ID numbers off their boat is because I learned to read in daylight; I can't read numbers on the side of a boat at the crack of dawn, from 20 feet away.

I don't know how to take your post but I don't like it. I wasn't trolling for rapists and I have not called them rapists, you did. I didn't hook a couple, if I had Cherokee Lake would still be flowing blood red. 'Nuff said.
Re: Message to 2 Males in a Boat
bassin bug I had no idea you were a woman, not that is a issue one way or another. I like having some females on this site to keep us men straight. I can also tell by the way you talk you aren't afraid of defending yourself or loved ones, GOOD FOR YOU. When good law abiding citizens own guns and are properly trained and use the needed discretion, oh it's a good thing. I love to read about good people taking care of no count thugs. I wish it didn't have to happen at all but they chose a life of crime therefore they can choose to lay in a box underground, end of story.
