Cumberland Lake This Weekend
Heading down to Jamestown this weekend for the first time in several weeks. Perfect temperatures, all the major holidays in the rear view mirror, Poker Run a thing of the past ..... might just be a great weekend for fishin. Has anybody been down there fishin lately? What is the pattern for stripers right now (mouths of creeks, main lake, depth, etc...)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I trust that last Sunday's high winds didn't do major damage that far southeast, but confirmation would be nice. Wife doesn't want to go because we're out of power at our home in Louisville. Personnally, that's why I'm leaving. Thanks in advance guys. Tight lines.
Re: Cumberland Lake This Weekend
My last day out was about 4 days ago, but the striper bite was pretty good. Was fishing with downriggers and leadcore outfits. Caught fish from 40 - 80 ft.; most fish were in the 60 - 70 ft. range. They took spoons much better than dollflys for some reason. We found our fish at the mouths of the major cks on the lower end and out on the main lake right along the edge of the channel breaks. There were a lot of other boats on the water fishing, so I dont think you'll have any problem figureing out where the fish are being caught. Catch a sack full. Phil

Thanks for the response Phil. When you say 'lower end', do you mean Wolf Creek to the dam or less?
Re: Cumberland Lake This Weekend
Exactly. Mostly from Pig Pen on down.
