Re: Beaver Lake
do they let you idle around with bigger motors now

Re: Beaver Lake
The county attorney said they couldn't and wouldn't prosecute, because the way it was worded. Now if everybody would just stay calm and just IDLE, it shouldn't be a problem. Time will tell. Good Luck. :D

Re: Beaver Lake
That sure does open up the lake to more boats.:) Is there still a sign up?

Re: Beaver Lake
Yes there is a sighn still up and it should be the final say.....But it's not. Its nice to idle around and cover some of the lake that I usually don't fish. There was a 4.44 pounder caught saturday during the classic. Pretty sad that it was the only keeper caught in 2 days of fishing but that fish won Allen $1,150.
The bite is awesome right now and any bait will produce. I caught fish on a spinnerbait, buzzbait, tube, jig and fluke. Good luck to all and have fun. You will catch alot of fish just dont expect fish over 15 inches. I boated 30+ on sat, and sun.

Re: Beaver Lake
It's amazing to me that all the fish that are being caught are all under 15 in. I know big fish are still there, but none are showing up. I like the action anyway. :)

Re: Beaver Lake
i havent been down there in years, didnt want to be on the the trooling motor, but i guess if we can get away with idle speed then i will give it a try....i dont see what harm it could do anyway, i mean, a big motor at idle speed is calmer that a 10 horse wide open right?
what time of day is everyone catching fish? i might try thursday after work till dark, and then if i have luck, ill take the youngin back friday evening after work

Re: Beaver Lake
All day anytime, right now anyway. I know what you mean on a 10 hp wake with a couple people in the boat. BIG WAVES. Time will tell . Good Luck!
