:eek:WATCH OUT for the stumps....I personally would not take my own boat cause you just might come back without a lower unit...lol Rent a boat from there for sure, that way when it gets tore up just take it back.Yes it is a Big crappie lake but we didn't have much luck in the fall, spring is better for the big one's.Minnows and jigs worked for us.Hope you have a good trip.

Re: reel foot lake tenn
went down there last year around that time and the water dropped 20 derees in about a week. really shut the fishing down but again that could just be my luck lol as far as deep goes if you consider 5 feet deep she's the ocean lol. good luck but small grubs with spinners worked real well for us in chartruese and pink and black and then white

Re: reel foot lake tenn
If it is cold look at map they dug out one end work the drop offs. I want to say it is the south side. Most the places to stay have boat as part of a package deal. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT!!!!! I don't know when the season is down there they do alot of duck hunting.

Add red food coloring to your minnows and they will look just like Ruby Reds!! start with 5 or 6 drops and work up to the desired color!! I promise it works and doesn't hurt the minnows either
