I will be going to Dale Hollow the 21st -24th and was wondering if anyone has fished it lately and if you think the day bite will be any good then and if you have any thoughts on what to use for smallmouth i went for the first time last year and caught plenty of largemouth but no smallmouth just need some suggestions thx for all info
fished on the tennesse side last week. fish are still deep, 20 to 30 feet, and biting best at night. concentrate on main lake points near the river channel. we used 3/8oz jigs(black, brown) with either a pork or plastic trailer. did manage to catch a couple toward the back of a creek on a topwater early morning. maybe by the time you re there that pattern will be more consistant. as far as the day bite goes, that will depend alot on water temp. i here 65 is good. you ll have to check when you get there. night bite should still be good when you re there.
Pray for overcast skies or fish at night if the weather doesn't let up soon.
