Wolf Creek Trout
Have not been to C land in a few years but may be coming down next weekend , a few friends are going down and want to fish Wolf Creek, any suggestions would be appreciated. Im out of the loop to say the least, is it fishable and back to normal now?

Re: Wolf Creek Trout
The river is low, so if you're going by boat, be careful! As far as bank fishing and wading, it's perfect! I don't know if you fly fish or spin fish...so, here are some tips for both:
Fly fishing:
Use size 16-18 red bead head pheasant tails, 16-18 red bead head zebra midges, 20-22 bead head copper johns and 22-24 griffiths gnat if there is a midge hatch on.
Spin fishing:
Panther martin spinners, cast masters, spoons and of course the old bait (worms, powerbait, salmon eggs, etc.). However, if you plan on using bait, just know that you must set the hook on the first sign of a bite to avoid swallowing and killing the fish. Try to avoid it at all costs!

Small jerk baits also work well. Yozuri Pin's minnow seems to be a favorite.
