Patoka 10-12

Early morning water temps 66. Water slightly stained with about 3 foot of visibility. Fished many of the north lake side creeks and bays (like Jordan's branch) and didn't see much shad activity. Saw a lot of fishermen; most were fishing the main lake points. I did find deep shad schools on those points. Couldn't catch anything with moving baits. Everything was on plastics.
A lot of recreational boaters out. I guess the heat wave brought them out. I was really surprised how many boats were on the water for it being a Sunday during bow season.

Skeeter owners tournament was there yesterday and had 123 boats so that added to the boat traffic. Took 18lbs to win and second place had 18lbs as well. Alot of fish weighed in

Is there any grass out there? I'm fishing Patoka on saturday.

yes there is plenty of main lake grass but not much in the creeks. River grass is scattered but none of the grass is matted on the surface. Most of it is about 6 to 12 inches under the water
