KY lake this week

Heading down tonight for some fun fishing and was wondering if you think the cold front coming in Thursday will hurt the shallow bite? Also wondering where you recommend finding some smallies, the guy I'm taking has never caught them.

I don't think the cold front will play as much of a factor as will the several hundred boats fishing tournaments near the end of this week.

Smallies are on the main lake flats eating shad like crazy!!! A Lucky Craft Slender Pointer works well in that situation ;) You might not hook up with a monster, but catching one after another in the 12" to 14" size range makes for a great time!

Art, do you care to say what part of the lake you caught the smallies? Above or below the bridge? Any smallies in the back of bays?

Going tonight to hopefully have some fun before all the traffic this weekend will bring.
