Candidates' comedy routines
Both candidates were at the same charity event yesterday, and poked fun and themselves and each other. McCain spoke first, and introduced Obama. They each made some pretty funny jokes, but still showed a lot of respect for each other. You can see both their routines at this site:

I don't know how the rest of you feel about candidates making comedy appearances, but I think it serves one simple, but important, purpose. It gets out the message that what unites us as Americans is more important than that which divides us.

Saw their routines, and it was hilarious. Great stuff, both candidates made me laugh out loud several times.

I liked it to but thought McCain was much funnier than the Messiah.
Re: Candidates' comedy routines
Not me Mark, McCain was indeed brilliant, but Obama matched him wit for wit. They both got some mileage out of the Clintons, but nothing was sacred, bomb after bomb was dropped.
To me personally there's lot to be said for people who can go at it tooth and nail over what they believe in, yet show mutual respect.

Yep it was a riot! I did see the Hillary joke punch line coming from McCain but it was still great. I feel the same way about this forum even though we Conservatives are right we still find it in our hearts to love thy mislead Liberal friends with respect. :)
