Speed Question for Nitro 901CDX w\ 200 EFI
I bought a 2004 Nitro 901 CDX this year and was wondering what the speed should run with a 200 EFI engine. The boat seems to run around 58 with just me in the boat(I'm not that fat either).
Anyone have any ideas if this is the average speed for this boat, or if something needs to be done to address the issue?
Thanks

Nitro's aren't really built for speed. They are one of the heavier boats on the water. Although I doubt you'll be hitting the 70's I would say with a 200 and the right setup you should be able to hit mid to low 60's at least. If it has a jackplate you'll need to to experiment with raising and lowering it. I would also talk to a prop guy and see if you need to get a new prop that might give you a little more mph. There is also a nitro board over at bass boat central and you could probably get some help from those guys on the what you should be running and the best set up for your rig.

They should have a set up on bassboatcentral.com for that rig.
