Dogs are like family
I lost 2 great friends and buddies on sunday I had a carin terrer & a Taco bell dog. Cane & Nacho they were as close to me as my own Kids no they were just like my kids. I got cane 4 years ago when I had a total knee replacement he help me get through a bad bad time when I could not fish and all I could do was lay around. He love to ride in the truck when I was able to drive again. He slept with me at the foot of the bed and walk with me when I was doing my rehab. A great friend and buddy. Throw a ball he would go get it and bring it back. Go get your toy he go get it and and was ready to play. I loved this dog with all my heart he was family. Nacho was a new dog only 9 months old a very short life but he was Canes shadow where ever me an cane went Nacho was there. A very cute and loving little guy. Cane and Nacho Daddy will mess you both very much. Go and play in the green fields of heaven and and I will think of you guys all way I will miss my two little boys and hope they mess me. Thank for letting me vent alittle. It might sound crazy but a dog is just like aprt of your family. Thanks John Newton
If you Live in the City or out in a county any you have a mole problem pleases tell the people that live around you if they have a dog or cat around if you put out Mole bait it is like candy not only to a mole but dogs and cats. I lost 2 great friends to this on Oct 18 2008 there is a house across the street that a company is taking care of for a realestate company and they put it out and did not tell anyone. I loved my dogs and will mess them very much!!!

Re: Dogs are like family
I hate to hear that. Sorry for your loss. Our two dogs are family as well. I am against using poisons for varmit control for that reason. We had some skunk issues, and it was suggested to put out poison bait, and I would not - too many neighborhood cats around.

Re: Dogs are like family
Man John, Sorry to hear you lost your babies. The wife and I both would be in total disarray if something like that were to happen to one or all of our 3 babies. We love our 3 dogs just like children and I know how it feels to lose a pet that you are so close to....I feel your pain and only hope you will recover and be able to move on and get a new friend or two.

Re: Dogs are like family
I'm so sorry you lost your babies and believe me, I feel your pain. My baby girl, Cricket, a Jack Russell, died in my arms of a heart attack two weeks ago. She loved music and went to sleep every night beside Mommy while I rubbed her tummy and sang, "Jesus Loves Me." As she lay dying, we hugged and kissed her and told her we loved her; then while she was leaving I was rubbing her tummy and singing, "Jesus Loves Me" for the final time. Her obituary is below and I hope it gives you some comfort.

"HEAVENS DOGGY DOOR"
My best friend closed her eyes this morning,
As her head lay in my hand.
She did not suffer any pain,
It was just hard for her to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms,
Were of her younger puppy years,
And Oh...her many charms.
Today there is no gentle nudge,
With an intense "I love you" gaze.
Only a heart that's filled with tears,
Remembering our joy-filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And said, "You should cry no more,
God also loves our doggy friends,
He's installed a doggy door!"
