Been fishing it pretty heavy the past couple of weeks. The water temp dropped very fast, 15 degree average. Lots of shad up river. Shad moved out of the backs of Ashes and Jacks. Now are midway back. Shad in the back of Beech. Caught a lot of small whites. Been doing great on lg's until yesterday. With this big cold frone coming through, I have no idea where to go. Fish slow. Stay where the bait fish are. Personely, I'm getting ready for Cumberland and Dale Hollow.
chartreuse minus 1 in the shallow flat by the state park ramp ... is what i had luck with last sat the water temps were 65*-68*
Headed over to TVille in the morning (Sun). Anybody out there today?
Went today and found several throw backs and 4 nice crappie. All caught on bandit cranks in main lake timber after bout 11:00. Main lake water temps around 57 to 58 , found some 63.5 degree bout half way up the lake where we caught our fish.
I made it out there today, fished about every lure known to man (and even some not known). The only pattern I figured out was a black/blue Eakins jig with a matching baby paca craw about half way back in the creeks. Nothing big, one borderline keeper and a few dinks. Slow day. We did see an otter catch a fish. I think he was taunting us with it.
Funny, but sometimes the Otters do catch more fish than I do...But I do like Taylorsville lake for my close by fishing addiction......That is when ever I can't get to Nolin......:)

Been there a couple of times the last few weeks, big drop in water temp, but have been on the same pattern. Sun high and wind blowing get back in skinny water less than 2 ft( we have been stuck twice doing this so watch out) but just watch the bait start flippin and start chunkin a blade. A week ago we had 15 keepers all nice fish from 1:00pm to 2:45 with plenty of 12-14" in there to boot. Keep your blade moving and high, an odd bite they would hit it 2 or 3 times then blam. Did mostly crappie yesterday but when we got back in the back of the creeks you just can't resist, plus crappie was slow. We still had 4 keepers in about 45 min. Saw another boat and he said he had let 5 shake off, and he was fishing the same way. Good luck.
